This is the info for our leadership camp up in Logan on June 7th – 17th . We will be leaving after 12pm on the 7th and will be home around 3pm on the 11th. Enter your info into the info sheet and go to the Waiver site with your parents before May 1st.

FIRST DAY PICTURES
We will be taking school pictures right after you check in – between 9:30AM and 11:00AM.  Please make sure you’re  in our school colors. 

·        The Theme is  TBD, More to come on this.

DANCE BATTLE RULES

  • Students may NOT perform any flips or throws without having at least one touch point to the ground or another student at all times. For example, a student may not perform a free front flip but can if two other students support the student performing the flip.

    Beats and loops can be added to the track but the song must remain recognizable. You may NOT combine multiple songs/tracks. Each school can only choose one song. Songs are selected on a first-come-first-serve basis.

    Every member of the group must participate in some way in the dance (advisors/chaperones optional)

    The dance must be no longer than 1 minute, 15 seconds.

    No gang signs.

    No swear words or references to drugs, alcohol, or sex whatsoever.

    You can features props/costumes etc. All costumes must have a shirt and pants. All outfits or props must be deemed appropriate.

    No glitter and no confetti cannons whatsoever. Smoke cannons are allowed if ALL pieces are disposed of. Schools that break this rule will be DISQUALIFIED.

    No sexually suggestive or inappropriate moves – Be comfortable doing this dance in front of your grandparents!

Any violations to these rules may result in disqualification from the dance battle!

USULC26 Dance Battle Judging

Categories

  1. 1.) Costume Creativity – Unique & Creative Costumes

    2.) Musicality – Dancing to the Beat and Rhythm of the Song

    3.) Execution – Clean & Intentional Dance Moves

    4.) Energy & Stage Presence – Excitement & Confidence

    5.) Crowd Engagement – Audience Interaction & Positivity

    Calculating Scores, Naming Winners, and Team Points

    Three judges will score each school on a scale of 1 (needs improvement) to 5 (exceptional) for each of the categories above.

    The school with the most points overall (75 points possible) will be named the dance battle winner.

    After that, the highest scoring school in each category will be announced.

    The overall winner will win 20 points for their team. The other five category winners will win 10 points for their team.

    *Please note that the order of dances will be determined via a random order generator.
