New Head basketball coach for the Warriors – Ryan Ball

Ryan Ball

Ryan grew up in Meridian, Idaho where he played, coached, refed, and studied basketball all the way through high school.  After high school, he went on a 2-year LDS mission to India and the Philippines.  Upon returning from his mission, he attended BYU where he got his undergrad degree in Statistics while also doing some sports analytics for the BYU Men’s Basketball team.  He then began his professional career in Data and Analytics and also completed his graduate degree through Grand Canyon University in Business Analytics.  He continues to work in the field of data as his day job.

Ryan began coaching his senior season after his playing career finished.  He coached his high school’s freshman AAU team and loved it so much he had to continue coaching after his mission.  He started coaching in the club scene for a club that his good friend ran.  He then discovered who would be his mentor, Anita Rowland, at Utah Premier under the Colorado Premier Club run at the time by Keith Van Horn.  After just one summer of coaching two high school age teams for Utah Premier, he was asked to become the Director of the Boys Basketball program for Utah Premier, and he did that for two years coaching multiple teams ages 11-18.  In 2022-23, Ryan joined the Stansbury High School Boys’ Basketball staff in a player development and assistant coaching role.

He now is very proud to be a Warrior!

Please join us in welcoming Ryan, his wife Cheyenne, and his son, Trai to The Warrior Family!
