Girls Tennis placed first in the Spanish Fork Invitational tennis tournament over the weekend. They competed against 10 other teams, several of them from 5A schools. They fought so hard and played great in every individual match. We couldn’t be more excited!
Payton Graham: We’ve got our documented attempts that will be sent in for review by Guinness and in 8 days she should be competing at Revv Fitness in Hurricane for a chance to qualify for a world level meet. She lifted 187.8!

Bo Hickman won the Javelin with a new 4A RECORD of 206′-1″ and the 2nd farthest throw in UTAH HISTORY.

Semaj Thompson won the 110 Hurdles and the 300 Hurdles.

Aspen Kenworthy is now the #4 performer in the 3200 meters with a time of 11:51.81
4X200 Girls relay team of Jeanine Field , Anna Monson, Ashley Harris and Millie Warner are now #4 in school history.
We have 54 athletes in 95 events qualified for the BYU Invitational in two weeks and 27 athletes in 48 events STATE QUALIFIED
SC Warrior Wrestling brought three wrestlers to the 2023 Utah Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling State Championships. We went three for three getting all of them on the podium!

Our wrestling team competed at the Desert Storm Invitational over the weekend and took 2nd place out of 30 teams! 8 of our wrestlers placed in the top 6 for their weight classes. Preston Lang took 6th place, Johnathon Linton 6th, Cason Smith 4th, Phoenix Oliver 4th, Beau Miller 3rd, Tag Gubler 3rd; and Kaden Guymon and Brenden Smith both won the tournament for their weight classes as Desert Storm Champions! Congrats on a great weekend wrestlers!
SCHS Debate Team: With an all-novice team, Sage Spendlove won 2nd in Original Oratory, Aldo Hernandez won 3rd in Impromptu, and Kaitlyn Ringwood took 4th in Informative. Congratulate to these Debaters!
XC at Region: Our Boys finished 2nd. We were led by Finn Lee, James Butterfield, Aiden Gulbranson, Kaleb Graff and Jonathan Fife.

UHSAA presents the Academic All-State Award to recognize those students who have excelled in the classroom as well as in athletic competition. Individuals are selected for this award on the basis of their athletic ability and academic proficiency. With over 85,000 students participating in high school activities, this award is the most prestigious honor the UHSAA presents to senior students. A big congrats to the SC Jazz Ensemble who qualified for “State” and were awarded the highest possible rating of “Superior” ]. The Jazz Band performed a swing chart, a ballad and a latin number for their set. Saxophones section members were Kaycen Wagner, Carson Gubler, Cristian Galdamez, Heidi Schroath and Raul Martinez. Trombones were Lane Reeves, Alex Merdes, Kasen Graff and Will Bergens. Trumpets were Bradon Ramirez, Kada Andra, Andrew Ord and Joseph Fife. Xavier Pinna played Guitar, Cayson Davenport drum-set, Jordon Crosby – the electric and String Bass and Mya Elzy Auxillary Percussion. Audrie Spendlove won the Southwest Region Poetry Out Loud competition. She will now go on to compete in the State Competition on March 8th. Good Luck Audire!

What an awesome year for our Warrior Swimming Program. The SCHS Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming Teams took 1st place at the Region 9 Swimming Meet a couple of weeks ago. We have some awesome swimmers in Region 9, so this is an outstanding achievement. This past weekend, the SCHS Boys’ team took 1st place at the UHSAA 4A State Championship Meet. This is the first Swimming State Championship for SCHS. The SCHS Girls’ team placed 3rd. We are so proud of our swimmers, Coach Charlie Barnett, and the support of our local pools and swimming community for making it possible for our students to compete this season. Read more here
